Stretching for Flexibility
Our 30 minute stretch class will teach you simple stretches you can do while lying in bed. When you wake in the morning, your muscles, joints, and ligaments are in a relaxed state, so we will ease them into action with a slow stretch from head to toe. An invigorating way to start the day!
In addition, after each hike, your hiking guide will lead a short stretch to help increase flexibility and prevent injury.
Hiking for Cardiovascular Health
Our primary fitness activity is hiking. Hiking is a great way to burn calories, work the major muscle groups, strengthen your heart, and improve balance and stability.
According to your fitness level and exercise goals, you can choose a beginner, an intermediate, or an advanced hiking experience. This is your vacation and we want you to enjoy the hikes, while getting a workout, at your own pace.
Fitness Classes for Strength Training
Our Pilates, Yoga, and Resistance Band classes are designed to condition and tone your body. Our classes use minimal equipment (and we send you home with a resistance band), so you can easily continue the exercises at home.
As we get older, we naturally lose muscle mass. Resistance exercise is necessary to preserve lean body mass and prevent muscle loss.
